The project "Female Genital Mutilation, My Way of Saying No" has been transposed onto different supports:
THE GRAND EXHIBITION
The grand exhibition on canvas (2x2m) is meant for large public spaces (stations, parliaments, etc.) to raise awareness among politicians, health & education professionals, and citizens of Europe or Africa, on ways to stand up against FGM. This exhibition will be visible at the Gare du Nord from 6 to 20 February 2013, Liège - Guillemins from 18 to 29 April 2013 and Bruxelles, Halles Saint-Géry from 1st May to 2nd July 2013 and Antwerpen-Centraal from 16 July to 5 August 2013.
THE SMALL FORMAT EXHIBITION
The exhibition in small format 50x70cm is designed for places frequented by communities affected by FGM, such as community centers, medical centers, family planning centers, centers for asylum seekers and other places.
A free leaflet with a selection of 10 portraits is available in French and English for the target audience (men and women of the communities that practice FGM). If you want some for your association or institution, you can order them at GAMS.
A book containing the various testimonies collected during the missions in Belgium, France, United Kingdom, Guinea, Djibouti and Senegal is also planned for mid-2013. You can pre-finance the project by ordering your book now (20 euros each). Make your order.
